“A collection inspired by the german word “Sehnsucht” the opposite of Nostalgia, what
particularly struck me about the word was how it related to the feeling of creation, the feeling of not
knowing exactly what you set out to create, but understanding when it has been created. It felt
reminiscent of expressionist art, I wanted to express color, texture and shapes, particularly shapes
and silhouettes of past seasons establishing a brand dna and giving it new life. Ed Ckark, Frank
Bowling, Jack Whitten, Berkley L. Hendricks and James Baldwin are some of the references that
helped inspire this collection. ”
