DI PETSA AW22 Mother Persephone
I was not swallowed not taken
I dug the wet ground, I pushed in
made a hole as deep as my elbow
and then I pulled apart
and the earth opened for me easily like cut fruit
I slid inside it like rain
I heard my mothers cries
echo down and follow my decent
to the core of the world
Silence
Ancient roots touched my skin and froze it
And told me that this is winter
A woman falls asleep on a field of red flowers
Her skin glows from golden sweat that reflects the sun
Her nipples start leaking
milk staining her clothes
