Sharon D Lloyd is joined by Helen Kirkum, Shonagh Marshall and Douglas Broad to discuss the Ahluwalia A/W 21 show. They discuss the meaning of the word ‘sustainability’ when applied to fashion and the ever-changing language used towards creative practises. Commenting on the craftsmanship that is integral to the Ahluwalia brand and image, the group discuss Ahluwalia’s contemporaries in reference to her own nuances and debate whether it’s really possible to be truly sustainable as a fashion designer in today’s world.
